So let's see now.... Previously we talked about what women want from men. And it was for men to listen to them talk and let it all out of their system.
Now the profound thing here is...
As a guy, we can NEVER understand how women are able to talk so much.
It's not really a bad thing, it's just that guys don't talk as much. Why is this so? What makes them good or rather, great at talking?

The reason is that women's left and right hemisphere are BETTER connected than men.
Imagine a human brain. The thing that links the left and right hemisphere is known as the corpus callosum
And it is more profound and has a much stronger connectivity in women than in men.
Think of it this way, men have a dial-up connection between their left and right brain, while women have a FIBRE OPTIC connection.
This is because the female hormone, oestrogen, is the reason for women developing a better structured and stronger corpus callosum than men. So you could say, women, by way of their hormone, are made for speech =)
The more fluent flow of information in women also brings out one of women's inborn talent.
MUTLI-TASKING
Incase you haven't noticed, majority of women are particularly good at MUTLI-TASKING. They are so good, that they can actually listen and talk to each other at the SAME TIME.
Remember in the previous post, where I mentioned that guys can EITHER listen OR talk? We can't do both.
But women can. Brain scans of women show that while they are talking to each other, the listening areas of the brain are also functioning. Most guys would fail if they had to do both.
I can NEVER do work in class, and listen to my lecturer speaking at the same time. It is extremely hard for me to do both. But women have a better chance of doing it. Both.
Also, women are able to talk about SEVERAL subjects, all at once, in a single sentence, and keep up with the information that is being passed to one another, about different subjects.
Which explains why women can talk non-stop and sometimes men simply get lost in a group of women chatting. (If you ever sat in a group of 4 women or more, and you are the only guy you'll get what I mean XD)
After a while, I usually go like... What are we talking about? Haha!

So, why else is this connectivity between the two brains important?
The speech and linguistic areas of the brain is located in the frontal area of the left and right brain in women.
In men, the area of the brain for speech and language is in mainly in the left hemisphere, and it has no specific area and is lesser than in women.
Due to this, men take more time to process information out into speech form, explaining why men tend to use 'ah, uh... er...' and pause more often than women.
Also if you realize, most linguistic and language teachers are WOMEN.
While most teachers in maths, physics and science are MEN.

I have also personally realized this myself. I started to pay closer attention when guys and girls speak.
Yesterday, I was watching 'So You Think You Can Dance', the AWESOMELY FANTABULOUS dance show =3
And I realized the male judges were using a lot of pauses, uhhhh, ahhhhs, errrr... when speaking and giving comments to the contestants
On the other hand, the women judges who spoke, are more fluent and fluid in their speaking, using more words, and they don't really pause a lot, and they don't use all those uhhhh, ahhhs, etc.
It pays, to pay attention =3

Now let us understand, the differences between men and women when it comes to speech.
MEN, when they watch football. YOU CAN SURE AS HELL BET THEY ARE WATCHING FOOTBALL.
WOMEN, when they watch TV, YOU CAN SURE AS HELL BET THEY ARE ALSO TALKING ABOUT THE BOYS, GIRLS, SKY, EARTH, SUN, MOON, SEA, BOYS, LOVE, FAMILY, PERSONAL STUFF, POOL, PARTY, CELEBS, CLOTHES, SHOES, HAIR, FASHION, STYLE, MODELS, TV SHOWS, THE LATEST GOSSIP, PEOPLE, COLLEGE, DRAMAS, STORIES, and the list goes on and on =3
I am by no means saying that it's bad to talk while watching TV. Just that men and women are different.
Girls, when they get together to watch TV or sleepover, it's really just a reason for some pillow talks and all the juicy awesome gossips. Women are just wired that way, it's not wrong, it's just the way they are.
Guys... Well, when they are watching football, the only time they REALLY start a conversation is WHEN THE CROWD GOES WILD AND GOAAALLLLLLLLLL~!
Yea. Or they just say pass the chips.
Yeah. Men are. Men =D
So understand this, when men talk, it is to talk about facts.
When women talk, it is to build relationships and trust, and make friends.

Another noticeable thing is that, guys only really call another guy to if there is a REASON to call.
Like, to give or ask for information, talk about business, or something important.
On the other hand, girls can go out together shopping, and when they come back, they call each other and can continue talking for another few hours
Men relay facts, while women bond through the phone.

Another funny thing I would like to point out.
Whenever my mom speaks to me I never really give very good or complete replies.
My replies sound like... "Ya, mm, ok, yes. allright. ok la. mmmmm. yes la"
LOL! It just goes to show that we aren't very speechy people are we guys? Or maybe it's just me aha!
So usually moms find it easier to get a real conversation out of their daughters instead of their sons.
It's just my guess but it's probably true XD

So the question is, why are men unable to multi-task?
In olden cavemen days when men were hunters, speech was not part of their job prescription.
Their job was to hunt for food. And they do so in silence, as to not alert the prey. Often times they would wait patiently, alone, for their prey to appear before they launch their attack.
They come back, and gaze silently into the fire, thinking about the next catch.
That's how men are. After a long day of work what most men want is to gaze into the fire. Silently.
We were built this way.
When we are faced with problems, we need to think it over in SILENCE.
However, when women sees a man who is silent, she thinks he has nothing to do or is bored, so she tries to talk to him.
Sometimes, the man reacts badly when interrupted. Remember, he can't multitask.
One thing at a time. That's men =)
The same goes with me personally. When I am faced with problems in my programming, I like to think about it in silence. Wondering why and how. To resolve it.
Once a men is done thinking, then only does he show signs of animation. Otherwise he is thinking in his head.

On the other hand, this may sound familiar to most people... Women think out loud!
Since their brain is wired for speech, they tend to TALK about their problems.
When a woman has a list of things to do, she voices them out in no particular order.
When a man has things to do, he says "leave it to me" and he's gone.
Haha! However, because of this, once women talk to men about their problems, men tend to think that women are giving them problems to solve.
Cuz that's what men are. Problem solvers.
Women on the other hand, are talkers.

So here is the CATCH!
If you find that a woman talks to you a lot, take it as a good sign
Women generally use words as a method to bond with each other, and if she talks to you a lot, it shows that she has positive intentions to get closer to you
So if they like you, they talk to you. A lot.
On the other hand, if they DON'T talk to you. It's bad. I'm sure this scene is familiar
Girl : Hey do you want to drop by the petrol station for some coffee?
Guy : No, I'm fine.
*after 5 minutes of silence*
Guy : Err... Honey, did I do something wrong?
Girls : You jerk!
Guy : What did I do?
Girl : I told you to stop!
Guy : *bewildered* Well why didn't you say so?!!?
Hahahaha!
Women are indirect, and if they are SILENT, something... is generally wrong.
So if a woman tells you she doesn't EVER wanna talk to you again, take it as a VERY serious issue.
Yeap! So that's pretty much it for today!
It's interesting how different men and women are, and there are actually scientifically proven explanations, which MAKES IT EVEN MORE INTERESTING! XD
