You know, I discovered today

Everyone really tries to give a good impression to others, all the time, at least the first time you meet someone

And in truth, first impressions are, of course, important!

But you know, most of the times, first impressions are never true, because we only show our obedient side

And we place so much importance on first impressions, that often times when meeting new people, in events or functions, often we forget ourselves.

At the very least, I'm that way when I meet new peeps

Let's take an examples

First dates. As a guy, you drive her, you take her to a nice restaurant, you crack some nice jokes, you pay the bill. All, for a good impression =)

But is that really a date? I think a date should be where you get to know the other person better, on a personal scale. Not just the surface. okay, maybe you could include the surface, but the inside matters just as much, or probably way more.

Is it really a must to be nice to each other? Why not just be natural? Every word that comes out of our mouth gets filtered so that we are nice to each other. BUT WHAT'S THE POINT IN THAT?!?!?!?

I believe in freedom of expression ^^ one way or another that person your dating will have to find out how your really like, whether or not he or she finds out before or after marriage is a different thing la

My point is, you have to address all the bad things or insecurities that the other person has, before you get serious, or even get married to him or her.

And you can't do that if your other half is always trying to be plastically nice to you.

Just treat each other normally, be your natural self. Don't think about "oh, what if she thinks I'm being too straightforward, or maybe I'm being too sensitive, or maybe she'll think I'm crazy if I do this"

Those things, hinder our freedom of expression. Well, okay, maybe you could say, if we express certain things too freely, we might offend the other person.

Then I ask in return. "Why did you think of doing it if it wasn't a part of your personality?"

So maybe you ask me in return. What if it's too soon to express yourself freely to someone you barely know? Shouldn't I get to know him or her better first?

WELL. This really depends on yourself to decide, when is the right time to do so. For me, I don't really like keeping the fact that I'm a pervert to myself XD Sure... People do get the wrong impression of me, but that's me! Why should I hide it from people? If people don't accept me for who I am, I would understand =) and move on

HAHA! So today I tried a ... well , you could say... "experiment!"

What I did was, I just said whatever was on my mind~! At that point of time

And this person was a friend's sibling, whom I don't know at all

THE REACTION!? The person thought I was CREEPYYYYYY~!!

HAHAHA~!! But that's okayyy =) Honesty is always the best policy~!

Sometimes, I wonder, why is it so wrong to be honest about how you really feel, or how you really are?

I don't want to pretend anymore. It's so tiring. Why can't I just tell a girl she's good looking? Or why can't I just tell people, sorry, I didn't understand that joke, instead of pretending to laugh?

Why won't society allow us to be ourselves?

Imagine the world now. It's made of lies over lies. Both you and I know, that this world lives on the very essence of lies.

The government? Lies.

Political parties? Lies.

The Court? Lies.

We've set standard for ourselves, or rather, a "way of thinking" in which, we hinder ourselves from the truth, or rather, being honest

Because people find that, sometimes, or maybe, most of the times, they can get away with lies

And get what they WANT, with lies

So they don't hesitate to lie anymore

They feel that truth has lost its worth.

And that the truth doesn't get you where you want

This is especially true, not only in the teenage years of our lives, but especailly in adulthood

You can actually say that our upbringing teaches us how to lie as we age

When were young, we just express ourselves freely, whatever we want to say, or whatever we wanted to do, we just did it!

Sure, maybe we had some falls here and there, but it was FUN and that's why most of the times our childhood is filled with happiness. Because we don't have to hold ourselves back from expressing ourselves.

That is why, when we were kids, we were so honest about how we feel. I've sort of forgotten what it's like to be a child.

Sure, you can point out that , some kids don't enjoy their childhood. They were left out, from groups of friends, etc etc.

But I'm not looking at the negatives here. I'm looking at the positive side.

That was why, just now, in the experiment, I realized, how people are so weary of people who are TOO honest.

"how can this be? He barely knows me and he's telling me all this?"

Yes. Because it's the truly what I'm thinking =)

I am a strange guy. And, I think there's totally nothing wrong with that XD

I think that, as we grow older, we should learn, not how to lie, but how to be honest. Because as we age, it gets harder and harder to be honest

Because we are too afraid of what people think, and were too afraid to offend others.

If your intentions are good, then there's no reason to be afraid

And people will see that, eventually

Maybe I'm not the best at giving a good first impression

But maybe, I can be the best as giving you a real impression of myself

So in conclusion of the experiment, perhaps, people feel safer, being told a lie, or not being told anything at all

Would a real pervert tell you he's a pervert?

Would a real stalker tell you he's a stalker?

Understand the truth and differentiate them from the lies.

I'm a pervert, but I'm a good pervert~! HAHA~! There's a huge difference okay~!

People are never what they seem. The real liers are those who hide all the bad things about themselves.

But I choose to be different. And I'm proud to be different. Because my mom always told me not to lie. And eventhough I don't always tell the truth, I do try my best. And I'm still trying

I'm sure, people will be able to understand me, somehow and accept me for being able to be honest with them ^^

Definitely =)

p.s. TOMORROW IS GONNA BE A GREAT CLIMBBBBB =)

  1. It's not a problem to be who you are but sometimes you have to take into account that someone has certain boundaries you should not cross and respect :O Certain things are either offensive or uncomfortable to a person and people would prefer it much better that you don't talk about it :x Like how sex and cock is a taboo word for Fang xD
